Overview

Need to know the basics of the Scrum Framework? Want to gain a better understanding of the 2020 Scrum Guide changes? Join us for a virtual introduction to Agile and Scrum using the new 2020 Scrum Guide.

In this one day, interactive, virtual event, you will learn:

  • The values and principles of Agile and Scrum,
  • The benefits of an iterative and incremental approach,
  • How the Scrum Roles interact with each other to deliver customer value.
  • The five events within Scrum, define the purpose of each event, and identify, the participants, timing, and maximum recommended timebox.
  • The definition of “Done,” its purpose, and how it evolves over time.

This curriculum aligns with the updated 2020 Scrum Guide.

By completing this course, you will earn a Scrum Foundations certificate of completion that validates your knowledge of the fundamental elements of Scrum. Certificate holders will also become a Scrum Alliance member.

As a Scrum Foundations certificate holder, you will:

  • Recognize the benefits of Scrum
  • Demonstrate proficient comprehension of Scrum Roles, Events, and Artifacts
  • Understand that this is a first step in the journey towards a deeper understanding and practical application of Scrum
  • Be more prepared to take a Scrum Alliance certification offering (i.e. Certified ScrumMaster® or Certified Scrum Product Owner®)
  • Meet the learning objectives covered before or during a foundational Scrum Alliance course (CSM and CSPO)
